The ideal candidate for the CADD Drafter position will possess a strong background in drafting and design, with proficiency in using CAD software, particularly MicroStation, and experience with MTA (Mass Transit Authority) and ProjectWise. They will have a keen eye for detail and accuracy, ensuring that all technical drawings meet the required standards and regulations.Summary of Responsibilities:
DRAFTING AND DESIGN: - Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly MicroStation, to create detailed technical drawings, plans, and schematics.
- Convert conceptual designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate and clear drawings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
COLLABORATION: - Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements and translate design concepts into technical drawings.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
DRAWING MODIFICATIONS: - Update and revise existing drawings based on feedback, changes in design, or project requirements.
- Ensure all modifications are accurately reflected and properly documented.
STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: - Adhere to industry standards, codes, and guidelines while preparing technical drawings.
- Stay updated on the latest drafting techniques and best practices to maintain high-quality standards.
DOCUMENTATION: - Prepare and maintain a comprehensive record of drawings, plans, and related documents.
- Organize and manage drawings efficiently, following established document control procedures.
QUALITY CONTROL: - Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings, ensuring all dimensions, annotations, and symbols are correct.
- Conduct quality checks to identify and resolve any errors or discrepancies.
COMMUNICATION: - Effectively communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to address drawing-related issues, clarify requirements, and provide support as needed.
TRAINING AND SUPPORT: - Provide guidance and assistance to junior draftspersons and team members as required.
- Share knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.

Job Requirements
- Proficiency in MicroStation and other CAD software.
