Overview:
: To serve employees meals, prep vegetables, starches and meats, develop culinary skills and speed, develop cleanliness and organizational skills.
Maintain service area of employee cafeteria in a sanitized and organized fashion.Service of food product to employees.Washes, peels and cuts fruits, vegetables, prepares meats and fish for cooking.Support skilled positions by following instructions and regulations as outlined in training manual, recipes and completing tasks in a timely manner.Must check station every day to ensure perishable products are used or dealt during shelf life. Must learn and be able to use products to their full potential, minimizing waste.Must maintain proper sanitation practices per health department regulations.Must leave work area cleaned and sanitized at end of each shift.Must be at station in uniform ready to work at the time shift starts.Must comply with grooming standards as outlined in Employee Handbook and training manual for kitchen employees, hair must be restrained and there is no jewelry allowed. Must wear proper uniform as provided at all times. Must wear black, non-skid type shoes provided by you.Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Works flexible hours, weekends and extended eight (8) hour days, according to business demands.Carry out the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality Group while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to waist level from floor to retrieve food product.Must be able to work standing on feet for 8-10 hours.Must be able to reach a height of 6 for cooking utensils.
Marginal Function:
- Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior.
Environment: Must be able to work in an environment which includes drastic temperature changes from 0 degrees to 110 degrees. Must be able to work with and around potentially dangerous equipment such as deep fryers, ovens, steamers, mixers, grinders, sheeters, slicers, etc. Must be able to work under fluorescent lighting.
Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate with supervisors and peers, must be of legal age to operate kitchen machinery, must be able to complete 90 day review and training procedures.
