Operate computer systems to process and verify guest credit and check-cashing activity as well as exchanging chips, tokens, and promotional items for cash.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins and promotional items purchased or won in the casinoIssue necessary operating funds to other departmentsBalance assigned funds and maintain an organized workstationOperate computer, coin sorter, money sorter, office equipment, telephone, and key control systemMaintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reportsReport any monetary or procedural discrepancy to the cage supervisor or manager in a timely mannerEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulationsInitiate the greeting, welcome guests in a friendly manner, and thank them for their patronageOffer information regarding property promotions, products, services, and events taking placeSmile, make eye contact, and use the guest's name while interactingProvide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employeesPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:QualificationsPrevious cash handling and customer service experiencePrior experience working in a team or group environment6 months of previous experience working in high volume, fast-paced cashiering environment preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAble to efficiently write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsModerate computer skillsAbility to accurately process data using a computer and 10-keyAt least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalentAble to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbalEnsure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulationsObtain and maintain all work cards as required by the companyVerify right to work in the United StatesWork CardsGamingPhysical RequirementsOccasionally push/pull up to 15 lbs.Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levelsOccasionally squat, kneel, and sitFrequently reach, bend, and twistConstant use of hearing and vision, walk, stand, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterityWork Environment Potential ConditionsIndoorSmoky and noisyDisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
