SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIESThe Camp CAMP student work position from Schreiner University will assist in various aspects of CAMP's daily operations, including activity coordination, animal care, and program development. This role provides an opportunity for students to contribute to the CAMP's mission while gaining practical experience in diverse areas of camp life. We aim to help students to contribute to an inclusive environment that serves individuals with disabilities while tailoring aspects of the role to their studies and interests.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Possess good office level communication skills.* Must possess ability to make entry level decisions and willingness to ask clarification questions.* Demonstrate responsibility, initiative, timeliness, and the ability to work independently.* Support the mission of Camp CAMP to ensure a quality and robust experience for all campers and their families.KEY AREAS OF SUPPORT* Administrative Support* Perform various administrative tasks such as collating and categorizing photos, inputting data into the camp's server, managing digital records, making post office runs, and handling general errands to support camp operations.* Animal Care* Feed and care for camp animals, ensuring their health and well-being.* Program Area Inventory* Create and maintain inventories for various program activity areas, ensuring supplies are organized, functional and well stocked.* Store Maintenance* Assist in maintaining the camp store by organizing and folding merchandise, keeping inventory up-to-date, and ensuring that the store is clean and well-stocked.* Preparing Camp Areas for Programming* Assist in preparing camp areas for upcoming programs, organizing materials, and ensuring activity spaces are ready.* Creative Program Development* Research and suggest new activities for camp program areas to enhance camper experience.* Facility Maintenance & Program Preparation* Support light facility maintenance, storage organization, and preparation of areas for off-season programs or events.* Camper and Volunteer Outreach* Help manage camper information databases and assist in maintaining and recruiting volunteers and staff.* All other duties as assigned* Support additional tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of camp operations.Flexibility:Certain responsibilities can be adjusted based on the academic focus and personal interests of the right applicant, allowing for a more customized experience.OTHER* The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at Schreiner University.* This job is open to freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior level students.* The applicant must consent to a background check as part of the hiring process.* This position requires students to have transportation.QUALIFICATIONS* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.* Reliability and dependability in completing assigned tasks* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Basic computer skills for data entry and research.* Creativity and initiative in developing new activities.* Enthusiasm for working with individuals with varying abilities.Hours: Flexible, based on academic requirements and camp needs.Apply Now - Student Work Application
