Camp Counselor
Essential duties:
Provide daily supervision of children in an overnight camp environment. Plan, lead, and engage with campers in recreational activities, skits, games, songs, activities, and other planned events as part of daily camp living. Lead by example acting as a positive role model of the OLVC values of Respect, Trust, Integrity, Passion, Teamwork, and Accountability and Camp Turner's of Hospitality, Stewardship, Social Justice, Personal Growth, and Recreation.Help with dishwashing, janitorial tasks, grounds work, maintenance, camp photography, activity set up/tear down, and occasional administrative duties.Proper execution, reporting and communication of CT and OLVC emergency procedures, incident and accident reporting, and safety guidelines. Attend, participate and successfully complete all summer camp training sessions and CT staff meetings as scheduled. Assist with the care, maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of all CT facilities and equipment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
17 years of age required; 18 years of age preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working with children ages 6-17 preferred. Must be willing to live on site for summer season with room and board provided.Benefits:
Pay rate: $420-$540/week (based on experience and skills) + room and board.Full week of paid training, including portable certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, Epi-pen and more.
