Job DetailsJob LocationBlackberry Mountain - Walland, TNPosition TypeFull TimeJob ShiftAnyDescription and QualificationsThe Camp Blackberry Supervisor is responsible for ensuring our youngest Blackberry guests have a fantastic experience in all of our youth offerings. This position oversees the programming and safety of the Camp Blackberry, Youth Blackberry Discovery, and Blackberry Art Programs as well as leading the Camp Blackberry Staff. The Camp Blackberry Supervisor will oversee the activities and staff in all aspects and ensuring the camper experience and guest expectations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Greet campers and parents
  • Manage a working activity schedule for the year as needed
  • Plan specific activities for the day-to-day operations
  • Create a curriculum for the year-to-year use for Camp Blackberry
  • Maintain a database of past, present, and future Campers
  • Weekly inventory and restocking of supplies
  • Daily communication between departments with activity schedule and number of participating campers
  • Hire, Train, oversee, and schedule the Camp Blackberry Counselors
  • Interact with/Oversee Groups of Children as large as 35 people
  • Liaison between the campers' Parents and Blackberry Farm
  • Plan special event weekends/activities for Camp Blackberry
  • Plan and execute the Youth Blackberry Discovery Program
  • Coordinate meals with Food and Beverage departments
  • Coordinate with Marketing the promotion of Camp Blackberry and other programs
  • Ability to control young boys and girls without physical contact or force
  • Conduct art classes for guests including acrylic painting, ceramics, and textile art
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Professional that has 3-5 years of experience in Elementary Education or Child Development. College Degree Preferred
  • Experience teaching art classes
  • CPR Certified and Life Guard Certified or other First Aid Certifications
  • Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to communicate well with guests and fellow staff
  • Must be able to handle guest problems and relate
  • Non-verbal communication skills important
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Understanding of basic math
REASONING ABILITY
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Be able to lift up to 40 LBS
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • 5,200 acres of Blackberry Mountain property
