OPPORTUNITY SUMMARYThe SGA & Club Specialist is a great opportunity for a student looking to learn how to manage and coordinate various student groups effectively on-campus. As Specialist, the student is responsible for assisting in the training and evaluation of all SGA and club executive board members. The position must also be comfortable working with other students and organizations to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed appropriately. The SGA & Club Specialist reports directly to the Coordinator - Student Leadership & Programming.SHIFTS:
- Shifts Available: Varies Hours. Must work weekends and nights as needed
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the SGA Club Hub.
- Coordinate Program Proposal Form submissions with the Coordinator of Student Leadership & Programming.
- Execute Club Con In conjunction with SGA at the beginning of each semester.
- Participate in the monthly review of all club expenses.
- Ability and willingness to attend various club events throughout the semester, as a representative of the Campus Life staff.
- Serve as a supervisor for SGA or clubs if a Professional Staff member is not able to be present.
- Coordinate collaboration between Campus Life and SGA or clubs for large scale programs.
- Assist in the planning and creation of various training initiatives for SGA and club executive board members.
- Lead a portion of the monthly Club Council meetings.
- Responsible for the review and distribution of all SGA and club flyers.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by Professional Staff.
PREREQUISITES
- Actively engaged in the campus community.
- Must be organized and reliable.
- Have experience using Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and Google Drive.
- Knowledge of graphic design programs, such as Canva or PosterMyWall.
- Knowledge of how to use social media (Instagram) for marketing/advertising purposes.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as needed.
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
- 0-1 year of customer service experience.
- At least 1 semester as an executive board member of a Club, SPICE, or Student Government Association.

Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
