Position Type: Security/Surveillance MonitorDate Posted: 9/26/2024Location: Edinburg High SchoolDate Available: 09/26/2024 REPORTS TO: Chief/Captain of Police Operations & Campus Principal APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open Until Filled LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 187 Days DATE REVISED: 04/17/2015 WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: $15.25 Minimum $19.32 Maximum PAY GRADE: C01 PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Campus Security Surveillance Monitor is responsible for the camera surveillance monitoring to ensure a safe and orderly school environment for students and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: TEA certification requirements High School Diploma or GED required Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to maintain records as necessary for department purposes MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Monitor campus surveillance cameras over hallways, entrance ways, parking lots, driveways and other areas of the school. * Report rule violations and offenders to school administrators and/or campus security. * Assist Police Officer to keep the building clear of people not on official school business. * Report disturbances and undue distractions on school grounds. * Assist law enforcement officers in completing affidavits, as required. * Participate in training and orientation, as required. * Confer with ECISD Police Officers on matters of concern and notify authorities of any situation requiring attention. * Prepare written reports of incidents. * Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others. * Performs other related duties as assigned.
