Primary Purpose:
The Campus Support Technician II will deploy and maintain technologies in use by administrators, staff members, and students. The individual in this role will directly support the district 1:1 student device initiative, in addition to providing support for other identified campus technologies.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
* High school diploma required, college preferred.
* A+ certification preferred.
Requirements
* Successful candidates must:
* pass drug and alcohol abuse standards,
* pass a criminal history background check,
* possess a valid Texas driver's License,
* have a clear driving record,
* and have automotive liability insurance.
Special Knowledge/Skills
* Effective verbal and written proficiencies with strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to demonstrate a positive, customer-service oriented approach to work responsibilities.
* Capability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams in order to facilitate the operation of equipment such as printers, computers, and projectors.
* Strong knowledge of computer diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
* Ability to provide just-in-time hardware and software support.
* Flexibility to cross train in related technical fields.
* Demonstrated attentiveness to detail.
* Capability to organize team projects for completion in a timely manner.

Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience with:
* Windows 10 and Google Chrome Operating Systems.
* Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and Google Workspace.
* Computer diagnostics, repair, and imaging.
* Providing customer and technology service and support.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Support of the student 1:1 device program by following established policies and procedures related to the distribution and support of student computers.
* Repair, imaging, distribution, and collection of student devices as necessary.
* Proper execution of device warranty procedures for student devices.
* Appropriate use of the 1:1 student device management system, including:
* device assignment,
* device check-in,
* device swapping,
* processing of lost devices,
* assessment of appropriate fees,
* and 1:1 system reporting.
* Accurate diagnosis of issues related to computers, accessories, and software programs.
* Participation in Windows device imaging efforts and enrollment of Chromebooks as necessary.
* Deployment of equipment and accurate inventory management for administrators and staff members.
* Assisting with installation, maintenance, repair, and upgrading of new and existing technologies.
* Utilizing proper documentation related to the technology work order and device inventory systems.
* Providing of status reports to relevant personnel as needed.
* Maintaining of a clean and organized work area.
* Use of Microsoft Outlook as the primary tool for communication with department management.
* Participation as an effective team member while contributing constructively to district and department goals.
* Adherence to department and district policies, precedents, and practices.
* Consistent demonstration of integrity and positive work ethics.
* Use of proper time management skills, including on-task work efforts and punctuality for daily work schedules, appointments, and meetings.
* Ability to stay-up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth.
* Training of district personnel regarding proper operation of software and equipment.
* Demonstration of sociable, customer-service driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, and administrators.
* Availability to work during periodic over-time, as required.
