Job Title: Canteen Attendant FLSA: Non - Exempt

Department: Commandant Reports to: Quartermaster

Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for providing a comfortable atmosphere for the cadets in the canteen while serving from and maintaining the snack bar. This is a frontline position that requires excellent customer service skills and attitude and must see every person who enters the canteen as a customer. This is a part-time position with no benefits. The working schedule and hours will be in the afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities:1. Manage all aspects of the MMA Canteen.

2. Conduct all operations using the best in customer service standards with cadets, families, and employees.

3. Ensure that the canteen is a pleasant place where cadets and others are treated with respect and a thoughtful attitude.

4. Work with the quartermaster to insure a good plan for operating the canteen.

5. Accountability of all transactions, particularly cash must meet the highest standards.

6. Operate the canteen efficiently, keeping unnecessary inventory to a minimum.

7. Use the POS (Point of Sale) system for all transactions.

8. Maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness, ensuring that all sanitation and health code guidelines are followed.

9. Work directly with the Company Leadership Advisors to ensure cadets behave appropriately.

10. Re-stock the beverages at the end of the shift so they are cold for the next day.

11. Conduct daily inventories to verify accuracy and to recognize items that need to be re-ordered.

12. Maintain, manage, and report inventory weekly to the quartermaster. To include recommendations of new items.

Other Tasks:

1. Operate the canteen at various times during the MMA Summer School, Leadership, and Confidence Camps, and for other organizations that rent our campus during the summer.

2. Supervise cadets' behavior in the absence of a Company Leadership Advisor.

3. Ability to make accurate and rapid calculations in the transfer of products and cash.

4. Must be familiar with the cadet handbook of rules and regulations to help supervise and manage cadet behavior.

5. Properly use all equipment.
