CAPA Quality Engineer 1 (Memphis, TN) - Smith & Nephew : Job Details

At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Provide quality engineering support related to the Smith and Nephew Quality Management System.Coordinate CAPA (corrective and preventive action) activities through all phases of the CAPA process including initiation, investigation, implementation, and verification of effectiveness (VOE).* Support escalation and presentation of non-conformances to the CAPA Review Board for CAPA initiation.* Support accurate root cause analysis and development of action plans during the investigation phase.* Support timely action completion during the implementation phase.* Support data and statistical analysis during the VOE phase.What will you be doing?* Supporting site CAPA process and owners to drive timely completion of CAPAs.* Data analysis and metrics reporting* Training, other project support, audit support, etc.What will you need to be successful?* Education:* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering.* License/certification: ASQ CQE preferred.* Experience:* 0 - 2 years' experience intermediate level experience in quality control or manufacturing preferred.* Previous internship/Co-op related experience preferred.* Knowledge of statistics preferred* Experience/knowledge of QSR and ISO preferred* Experience in inspection procedures/methods preferred* Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills* Excellent documentation and written/verbal communication skills* Strong planning, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills* Ability to work independently with some supervision as part of a cross-functional team.
