MCA has an opening for a highly motivated individual to lead as the Capital Campaign / Planned Giving Director. This role is responsible for the overall success of the capital campaign, annual fund, fostering donor and alumni relations, and overseeing fundraising programs and processes for the school. Essential Duties
- Work alongside the head of school and chief advancement strategy officer to identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors and solicit gifts.
- Recommend strategies to ensure a long-term fundraising plan for the academy.
- Create processes for implementing longstanding strategies for small and large individual, alumni, and corporate gift giving.
- Responsible for overseeing and executing the recognition and stewardship of donor contributions on a consistent basis.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of annual giving campaigns.
- Research, identify, and coordinate efforts to apply for grant and foundation capital resources.
- Serve as the academy's representative by attending community events, joining local societies, and appearing at other strategic networking events.
- Develop a process to minimize donor fatigue through the oversight of a campus-wide fundraiser.
- Develops a comprehensive strategic marketing plans, both short and long range, to support the mission of the school and all capital campaigns, fundraising, and donor/alumni relations.
- Provide strategic oversight and overall leadership, and set the direction for alumni engagement and inclusion, including long-term planning and maintain a strong network of alumni regardless of giving status.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate annual alumni engagement initiatives collaboratively with the advancement department, while coordinating with athletics, admissions, and other MCA departments to build affinity, stimulate engagement and grow support of the school.
- Monitor demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity.
- Support the development of a Young Alumni program and other programming designed to engage recent graduates from MCA.
- Work with the advancement team providing support for school-related events (some evenings required).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head of school or chief venture strategist.
Supervisory Responsibilities This position will be supervising the marketing & communications specialist, development director, event director, and donor relations data manager.QualificationsBachelor's degree with experience in fundraising, business or program development, and recruitment plus three to five years of previous experience.
