Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe CAPP Educator is responsible for implementing evidence-based pregnancy prevention programs based on CAPP requirements throughout Jefferson County. RequirementsEssential Duties:1. Provide evidence-based education on teen pregnancy prevention and adolescent reproductive health to teens, community members, human service professionals, school staff, and administrators. 2. Establish professional relationships with key stakeholders throughout Jefferson County. 3. Promote reproductive health services and support for the project throughout the community.4. Maintain meticulous records of attendance at meetings, presentations, etc. 5. Implement evaluations and assessments of assigned projects. 6. Complete all required project reporting in a timely fashion, including entering required data on state and agency reporting databases, if applicable, and providing data for internal reports. 7. Attend trainings as available including webinars, in-person trainings and conferences to remain current with best practices, research, and successful initiatives from other areas.8. Ability to work independently and as a team within the Community Engagement department sharing resources, ideas and support agency advocacy efforts when applicable.9. Maintain communication and provide supporting documents including data reports for the CAPP program to St. Lawrence County Health Initiative Subcontractor on a regular basisRequired Skills and Abilities:1. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and data withaccuracy, attention to detail, flexibility, confidentiality, and sense of humor.2. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability work cooperatively with internaland external customers.3. Working knowledge of adolescent development.4. Ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse populations. 5. Ability to prepare accurate and timely written records and reports.6. Able and willing to attend meetings and conferences that require overnight travel. Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in a health, human services, or closely related field and/or associates degree with relevant experience.2. Good oral and written communication skills.3. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends as necessary.4. Valid Driver's License Physical Demands and Working Conditions:1. Lift/carry 10 lbs. or less frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally2.
