summary Employbridge is now hiring a CARBON COMPOSITE TECHNICIAN in Auburn Hills, MI! Shift: 7a-5:30p Pay: $17-$18/hr Job Summary: Layup carbon fiber and prep composite and billet aluminum for assembly to meet strict quality and process standards. Job Duties: Manufacture and assemble composites for low volume production and prototypes Trimming, fitting, laminating, cutting and drill composite parts to drawing specifications Perform light duty machine operations utilizing drill press, band saw, chop saw and hand power tools Lay out, assemble, pre-fit and bond a variety of composites or laminate fabrications, parts, skins or equipment Complete hand layup by following specific work instructions and drawings for each part Ensure each tooling was cleaned of all foreign object debris, prepped, and checked for defects while also keeping a clean work environment Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy All other duties as assigned required-skills: Work Environment/Physical Demands Assembly/manufacturing work environment Comfortable lifting 50 pounds Follow PPE requirements such as wearing steel toed shoes and safety glasses Travel: May require some infrequent domestic travel Required education and experience: High School Diploma/High School Equivalency (GED) or higher Strong communications skill and Microsoft Office proficiency Preferred education and experience: Experience with high temp epoxy and carbon fiber is preferred. Basic understanding of the material properties of carbon fiber and resins Possesses attention to detail ERP Experience required-experience: Carbon Composite Technician
