Cardiac Catheterization Technician - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Summary:

Are you interested in working with one of New Jersey's top five hospitals as a Cath Lab Tech? This role offers the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals in performing a wide range of cardiovascular and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, STEMI interventions, and pacemaker placements. You will play a critical role in patient care, ensuring safe and effective procedures while adhering to all protocols.

Duties:

Prepare and assist in the preparation of patients for cardiac catheterizations (caths), PCI (STEMI), and other procedures, such as peripheral vascular, pacemaker, and interventional radiology procedures.

Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data during procedures.

Provide procedural assistance to physicians during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases.

Assess and manage access sites, providing updates and informing the physician as necessary.

Adhere to the on-call protocol for the Cath Lab.

Ensure that patients are properly prepared for their procedures.

Skills:

Licensed Radiologic Technologist.

RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification preferred.

BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience required.

Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab is mandatory.

Required Qualifications:

Cardiac experience.

ACLS certification.

Cath Lab experience.

Radiologic Technologist certification.

PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) experience.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Certifications & Licenses:

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).

BLS (Basic Life Support).

Radiologic Technologist certification.
