Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProvides support to physician performing non-invasive and/or invasive cardiovascular procedures.Job Responsibility1.Performs a variety of duties to prepare unit for non-invasive and/or invasive cardiovascular procedures.2.Ensures all instrumentation/equipment for each procedure is presented on table in established fashion.3.Prepares sterile field for procedures and adheres to aseptic technique, as required.4.Obtains and prepares physician equipment for procedure to be performed.5.Prepares patient for procedure. Responds to patient's questions alleviating concerns regarding procedure. Ensures patient is correctly prepped and draped in a sterile fashion.6.Enters patient and procedural information into computer system.7.Monitors patient status during procedure, including hemodynamic data, electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain, etc. Collects all pertinent data and calculations for physician's interpretation of results.8.Balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data as well as intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies.9.Operates equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies.10.Performs related duties as required.
