Care Aide- Memory Care Community - The Arbors Assisted Living - NY : Job Details

Position Summary: Assists residents with activities of daily living to enhance quality of life. Monitors daily health status and reports to Wellness Director. Performance Responsibilities: Interpersonal/ Communication: Works in conjunction with the Wellness Director and Case Manager to assure the needs of the residents are being maintained. Adheres to customer service principles: respects, flexibility, knowledge, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness. Cooperates and communicates with all staff in the community in a polite, courteous, and positive manner. Adaptability to Change/Flexibility: Adjusts and adapts to community as well as departmental changes. Task Specific- General: Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living, (ADL's) personal care, including but not limited t nails, hair, oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, transferring, dressing, and undressing as needed. Checks for clean clothes and ensures that residents are properly groomed and cleaned. Assists residents with managed incontinence program including toileting assistance, changing and managing incontinence briefs. Maintains knowledge of resident's needs at all times. Assist with recreational activities including effectively leading an activity as required. Brings residents to and from meal and activities when necessary. Shifts: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
