Job Summary

• The Care Assistant provides personal care for elderly, convalescent or disabled persons in home or facility settings.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served by Avera@Home.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Experience in home health care or related health care field preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Nursing assistant certification preferred.
• Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
• This position requires a valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.

Work ScheduleMonday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 48hrs/2wksPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
