The Behavioral Health Care Manager (32 hours per week) provides behavioral health care management and care coordination for Towson University students at the University Health Center. Under the leadership and supervision of the Medical Director, the Behavioral Health Care Manager will coordinate, and support mental health care being provided by the psychiatry and primary care team within the Health Center and will coordinate referrals for clinically indicated services outside the clinic. Additional core functions include participation in the Mental Health Collaborative Care Team; assisting Staff Psychiatrist, Staff Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Team, and Medical Director with management of complex patients; collaborating with the Health Center, Counseling Center, Student Outreach and Support Team, Case Managers, Referral Coordinators and Providers; place internal and external referrals; ensure appropriate follow up for patients; maintain and gather medical records; and prepare case reports and summaries as needed. This role will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with required immunizations and TB screenings for Towson University students. This position coordinates all immunization activities for the University, including gathering compliance data, analyzing data and reporting on findings. Serves as an immunization and tuberculosis risk subject matter expert, and will work with a diverse population of students and families to protect the public health of the University and surrounding communities.
