CAREPARTNER/CAREGIVERWe are looking for the right person to partner with our residents to help them continue to live their lives of purpose and make the most of every day by providing the best care and support we can give them. We specialize in assisted living and memory care. Highgate Senior Living's mission is to devote ourselves to help each resident live a life of purpose and each of us plays a crucial role in doing so. We operate communities in the western US and are seeking the right Care Partner/Caregiver to join our team. This position can be full-time or part-time and includes being responsible for the care of our residents, which can be hands-on and/or stand-by assistance as needed. At Highgate, providing care means to provide for the whole person, providing physical assistance with activities of daily living and emotional, psychological, and soulful support.The successful candidate will be an organized and detail-oriented individual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication and critical thinking abilities as interacting with seniors while providing care requires both abilities. Our industry needs heart-driven, passionate professionals that enjoy working in service to others while gaining the leadership, clinical, business, and marketing skills necessary for a long-term, deeply satisfying profession.SKILLS NEEDED:Good customer service skills, the ability to intuit, and problem solvePatience, level-headedness, and compassionAbility to pivot, change direction, and accomplish tasks with innovative approachesBackground in working with different types of people with different ability levelsTeam player with the ability to develop strong working relationshipsAbility to take feedback and incorporate it into your effortsAn understanding of what it takes to provide care to residents that need physical and/or cognitive supportComfortable to adapt quickly to the changing needs of an older adultAn understanding or the willingness to gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how residents with dementia can continue to live with purposeRELATABLE EXPERIENCE:Prior experience working in an assisted living community or memory care communityJobs or volunteer assignments that have given you opportunities to provide care for someoneOther hospitality or healthcare related experienceExperience in customer serviceRoles in which you have been a multi-taskerOpportunities from your past where you have demonstrated kindness, patience, and compassion to varying groups and individualsQUALIFICATIONS:1-At least 18 years of age2-Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification3-Ability to obtain required caregiving license within specified timeframe if necessary5-Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours6-Ability to carry or transfer up to 50lbs with assistance7-Ability to pass a criminal record/background check8-Be efficient and exercise good time management skills9-Must be able to work well independently with little oversight10-Must have a track record of top-notch organizational abilities and communication skills11-Willing to attend and incorporate into your work efforts different types of training#J-18808-Ljbffr
