DescriptionCareer NavigatorReports to Associate VP of Community OutreachThe Career Navigator is responsible for the planning and operation of the Delta Health Alliance Workforce Development programs. MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in education, Public Health, or related field
- Two years related experience
- Should reside in the service area of the program
- Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills required
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will work with participants to assess their career goals and needs
- Develop a customized Action Plan for achieving those career and economic objectives
- Deliver assistance with enrollment in training programs
- Give access to program participants for professional development and financial literacy classes
- Provide opportunities for internships and apprenticeships, job placement support
- Give access to family support services that can support both job training and long-term career success
- Participate in activities and strategic planning for the Delta Health Alliance Workforce Development, including completion of training and implementation of programs in various settings.
- Ensure programming sessions are inclusive to all groups, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, and/or sexual orientation.
- Ensure that all sessions follow curriculum guidance and are taught in sequence and on time.
- Represent the Delta Health Alliance in collaborative community-wide activities while developing positive working relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Participate in formalized tracking and reporting systems to maintain program fidelity, identify program strengths, recommend program changes, and evaluate program outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
