Caregiver 1, Child Development - Hutto Independent School District : Job Details

Primary Purpose:Provide responsible supervision for young children while teaching developmentally appropriate skills to foster growth and independence through planned but flexible program activities.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GED or enrolled in a High School public school work-study program.Must be 18 years of age or 17 years of age and enrolled in a High School public school work-study program.CDA and/or childcare training preferred.Special Knowledge/Skills:Must assist in implementing activities to meet children's developmental needs; must help teach self-discipline and acceptable behavior; must support fellow caregivers in maintaining an organized, nurturing classroom; must regularly attend training classes to advance personal and professional skills; must be physically able to lift 30 pounds to table height; must become familiar with Texas Minimum Standards for Registered Child Care Centers.Experience:Students enrolled in public school work-study programs will be considered.Previous experience working in a childcare center preferred.
