Established in 2001, MSHN Enterprises is a supervised group home setting for individuals enduring severe and persistent mental illness. We provide therapeutic psycho-social rehabilitation groups, community outings, medication management, as well as individual therapy. MSHN also offers enhanced and medically fragile housing services to those individuals who have complex behavioral issues and/or medical issues in addition to mental illness. These services include treatment and nursing and/or physician professionals. We are not just a group home, we are a full-service supportive living program.Responsibilities:Resident Safety: Ensure residents are safe and not in danger at any time. Provide proper supervision and perform necessary checks. Never leave residents unsupervised. De-escalate residents to maintain group safety and help them regain self-control. Immediately report any unsafe environmental circumstances. Familiarize yourself with fire and other natural disaster evacuation plans.Professionalism: Be receptive to supervisory feedback, recognize your own weaknesses, and identify ways to strengthen them. Maintain all necessary training and seek additional information for personal development. Stay current on psychiatric and mental health disorders. Refrain from gossip and negative attitudes, encouraging staff to do the same.Time and Attendance: Be on time and ready for your shift. Notify your supervisor as soon as possible if you cannot attend work due to illness. Dress professionally and be prepared to work. Requests for time off must be made in writing 2 weeks in advance.Teamwork: Every position at MSHN Enterprises is crucial for our success. Address conflicts with employees directly, and if unresolved, follow the chain of command.Medication Assistance: Adhere to medication assistance policies. Ensure the correct medication is given to the correct resident on schedule, documenting appropriately. Notify the ED and/or LPN of any discrepancies.Resident Interaction: Conduct psycho-social rehabilitation discussions and activities. Respect residents' privacy and dignity while providing encouragement for skill development. Assist residents with personal hygiene needs when necessary.Documentation and Communication: Complete accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner. Ensure all checklists and logs are completed on time. Communicate pertinent information to the next shift and check for new memos at the beginning of your shift.Environmental Cleanliness: Start your shift with a walkthrough evaluation and address any issues. Assist residents with chores and ensure shift-specific checklists are completed promptly.Food Preparation: Prepare meals according to the weekly menu or make substitutions with supervisor approval. Label and store leftover food items appropriately.Minimum Requirements:The following are minimum requirements for each position at MSHN Enterprises LLC:Must be 18 years of age or olderValid driver's license or state IDSuccessful completion of a drug screenBackground results within company standards (i.e. no assault, bodily harm, possession of weapons, or drug charges)High School Diploma or GED (or certificate/diploma of highest level of education)CPR & First Aid certification or completion of MSHN CPR/First Aid class within the first thirty days of employment. Certification must be renewed every 2 years.TB-Skin test result or complete test through MSHN within the first thirty days of employment.
