CareGiver - Home Instead : Job Details

We are actively seeking multiple candidates to support our clients in Frederick, Carroll and Washington counties. Caregiver Responsibilities:Home Instead looks for passionate, kindhearted Caregivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of expanding the world's capacity to care. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion. Our clients depend on our staff of Care Pros for many activities of daily living. You can make a difference in someone's life. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Personal Care Assistance with hygeine needs
• Memory Care
• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner
• Driving clients to medical appointments and errands.

Caregiver Requirements:You must have:

• Maryland Drivers License (not provisional or learners permit)
• Reliable personal transportation with valid auto insurance in your name
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to successfully pass a Reference Check, Background Check and Motor Vehicle Check, and a pre-employment Drug Screen.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English. Additional languages a plus.
• Willing to travel within Frederick County.
• Willing to work with client with pets or clients that smoke.
