If you have a positive attitude and desire to serve others - we will train!Hiring Full-Time and Part-Time!Our Mission: We are professionals committed to serving others, nurturing life, and promoting an individual's ability to thrive.Position Summary:The Caregiver collaborates with others to provide high quality care for residents including assistance with toileting, transferring, bathing, feeding, etc. in accordance with company policies and procedures and regulatory standards. The Caregiver supports a positive culture that ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and receive quality care according to individualized Plans of Care. The Caregiver also promotes resident independence, healthy activity, and choice.Qualifications: If you meet the below - please apply!
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Successful completion of caregiver training program approved by the Department or Board of Examiners for Nursing Care Institution Administrators and Assisted Living Facility Managers.
  • Must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at time of health screening and annually thereafter.
  • Have current Adult First Aid card and CPR Certification for employment and maintain throughout length of employment.
  • Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age (required).
  • Minimum of 3 months healthcare-related experience required.
Responsibilities:
  • Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of The Palazzo.
  • Assists residents with bathing, hair care, mouth care, nail care, and dressing, etc.
  • Assists residents with ambulation including reminding and supporting.
  • Assists and encourages residents to eat and take sufficient fluids and snacks.
  • Observes and reports (to supervisor) any changes in behavior or condition
  • Assists with, and positively influences, resident participation.
  • Empties trash every shift and makes beds.
  • Answers pendant and call lights within 10 minutes or less.
  • Keeps track of resident whereabouts at all times.
  • Clearly documents on ADL sheets, every shift.
  • Carries and returns master key, radio, and pager at the end of each shift.
  • Effectively communicates with residents' families and directs them to appropriate management/supervisors and encourages their participation in community activities.
  • Works to ensure a safe environment for community residents, families, and peers.
  • Attends and participates in continuing educations activities. Complies with Adult Foster Care (AFC) staff education requirements.
  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in The Palazzo's Code of Conduct, The Palazzo policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
