Caregiver - Will Train --Learn A New Skill

Pay: $14.25 per hour

Position Overview
The Caregiver, also known as an Attendant Care Worker, is a paraprofessional member of the home care team. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform various supportive services to meet the patients needs. You will be responsible for observing the patient for changes in condition, reporting these observations, and documenting the care provided.
Essential Responsibilities
- Cleaning:
- Dusting, cleaning bathrooms, windows, and kitchens.
- Washing dishes, changing linens, making beds, and maintaining household appliances.
- Laundry:
- Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes.
- Shopping:
- Purchasing food, medicines, and household supplies as needed.
- Nutritional Maintenance:
- Planning and preparing meals and assisting with eating.
- Personal Care:
- Assisting with showering, dressing, toileting, and ambulation.
- Supporting transfers to/from wheelchairs or beds.
- Helping with personal hygiene and comfort for movement-restricted patients.
- General Supervision:
- Providing medication reminders and monitoring patient safety.
- Coordinating medical appointments and necessary services.
- Offering companionship and engaging in shared activities.
Position Qualifications
- Must meet training requirements by State and Federal laws.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.
- Self-directing with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Empathetic towards the needs of the ill, injured, frail, and impaired.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Good personal hygiene and professional demeanor.
- Valid drivers license with a reliable, insured automobile or alternative transportation.
- Must complete the company-provided Direct Care Worker Training Program within 45 days of hire.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
