Homestead Health Care is a leading provider of compassionate and quality senior care services. We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team in our Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI. The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians' orders and monitor and document residents' medication intake accurately.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Provide regular updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid Driver's license or ID.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
