Duties and Responsibilities of a caregiver:Companionship and conversation; Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation; Incidental transportation to and from appointments, errands and activities; Medication assistance and/or reminders; Alzheimer's CareCaregiver Skills and Qualifications:Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect; Ability to work with clients receiving Hospice care or at end of life; Be a good and patient listener in a friendly and polite manner; All caregivers must complete a background check and a urine drug screen. They must also possess a valid driver's license, social security card/birth certificate, and valid auto insurance. Prior caregiving experience is preferred, but not required.All CAREGivers will go through specific training designed by Home Instead Training. After training, CAREGivers will feel confident going into the client's home helping them achieve success with their emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing.
