CARPENTER - Block Iron & Supply Company : Job Details

Position: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Required Education: HS Diploma and/or GED Equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Machine commercial wood doors for hardware using equipment such as a router, planer, hand tools and tape measure.

* Install, repair and remodel wood and steel doors, locks, and hardware as well as performs welding procedures as needed.

* Performs field work installations and repairs on job sites.

* Designs, lay out and construct various wood items.

* Operates forklift

* Other duties assigned per the needs of the shop

Minimum Qualifications:

* Ability to lift 50lbs independently (and up to 100lbs with assistance)

* 1-2 years previous experience

* Must have attention to detail

* Must be self-motivated, work unsupervised, quality work and willingness to learn

* Basic construction knowledge with specific experience related to hollow metal and commercial hardware applications strongly preferred

* Must pass pre-employment drug screen

* Must posses a valid driver's license and clean driving record
