Req Id: 35182Job Title: CarpenterCity: West LafayetteJob Description:Job SummaryAs a Carpenter for the Operations and Maintenance Department, you will:* Perform carpentry construction, installation, maintenance and repair.* Work from written and oral instructions using saws, drills, jointers, planers, routers, hand tools, and all of the shop power tools.* Install suspended ceilings, lay out floor tile, install doors and hardware such as locks, handles and closures.* Install laminate veneer to furniture and countertops, install and finish drywall.* Assist with or fabricate and install solid surface materials.* Contribute to Purdue's $600 million research enterprise by maintaining and enhancing facilities that support cutting-edge research and innovationAbout Us:When you join Purdue University, you join a community that keeps moving forward.
