This role also develops, implements, and manages comprehensive wellness programs and initiatives that promote the well-being of students and employees. If you consider some of your strengths to be in communication, relationship building, and your counseling and crisis management skills, you are encouraged to apply and contribute to the success of a university focused on helping our students foster a healthier society.Major Duties and Responsibilities include:Case Management:Serves as a non-clinical case manager for students who are experiencing difficulty and/or barriers that may include, but are not limited to: academic, cultural, emotional, financial, mental, physical and social wellbeing issues.Provide case management services to students, including intake assessments, care planning, and follow-up support.Provide immediate support and intervention for students in crisis, including assessing the severity of the situation, making safety plans, and coordinating referrals to appropriate resources (e.g., emergency services, counseling).Develop individualized action plans for students facing complex issues and monitor their progress.Coordinate with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure comprehensive support for students.Ensure compliance with legal standards related to confidentiality (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA), maintaining the privacy of students while managing their cases and collaborating with various departments.Wellness Programming:Organize workshops, seminars, events, recurring, and progressive sessions focused on topics needed to support current and future student wellbeing needs.Conduct assessments and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of wellness programs and identify areas for improvement.Collaboration and Outreach:Serve as a liaison between on-campus counseling services, off-campus counseling, and other campus departments.Foster partnerships with external organizations off-campus to enhance wellness programming and resources.Engage with student organizations and their leadership to assess group needs, promote, and implement wellness initiatives.Provide training and support to faculty and staff on wellness-related topics and student support strategies.Administration and Reporting:Serves as a member of the university's CARE Team bringing case management expertise to regular meetings, discussing student concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up on action items and participates in the development and review of policies and procedures.Collect, analyze, and report data on case management trends, including student risk factors, the effectiveness of interventions, and overall wellness programming impact.Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in wellness and case management.Participate in University committees and task forces related to wellness and student success.As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:Minimum Qualifications:A bachelor's degree is required in counseling, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, College Student Personnel, or another related field. An equivalent combination of years of experience and education may be considered for substitution of educational preferences. Minimum of three years of experience in wellness programming, case management, or a related area. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong counseling and crisis management skills. Proven ability to identify problems or issues and deal with difficult or complex situations, analyze key information, determine implications, and facilitate solution. Knowledge of the challenges, issues and concerns experienced by students of diverse backgrounds and experiences. Knowledge of wellness resources, health promotion strategies, and case management principles. Proficiency in using technology for program management and communication.Preferred Qualifications:A master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Public Health, Psychology, College Student Personnel, or another related field is preferred.
