The LIFE Community based in Plymouth is growing again and is seeking a part-time or full-time Case & Money Manager (LIFE Coach) to assist our individuals in fulfilling their independent potential by assisting them in managing their daily life skills: regular fitness, nutrition, cooking, hygiene prompts, money management, social activities and outings, activities in the community, household management, menu planning, shopping, meal preparation, transportation needs as they arise, medical appointments, money management and access to recreational entertainment, etc.

to have productive and happy lives, lived as independently as possible!
Experience and/or education with our supported population (or a similar population) is needed.

Flexibility in exact hours worked can be worked out with you as long as the needs of our
individuals are support are met. Generally, between 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday-Friday.
The applicant must:
* Be kind!
* Have good organizational and time management skills.
* Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and good computer skills.
* Be a team player with the ability to work with the entire team to the benefit of the individuals we support.
* Be able to work independently with assigned individuals with a daily plan for helping them to reach their goals.
* Have experience (and/or education) in human services and/or learning disabilities/autism or a similar field.
* Special Olympics and personal experience is valued as well as work experience and education.
Responsibilities:
* Assists, organizes, and facilitates activities as assigned. Use your gifts and/or hobbies to create an activity our individuals will love.
* Assist LIFE individuals with meeting their goals and objectives in the following areas: apartment maintenance, personal health maintenance, nutrition, fitness, and social skills development.
* Assist the individuals with grocery shopping and preparing healthy meals safely.
* Participate in team-related services; staff meetings, resident/roommate issues, resident case reviews with staff and/or family, etc.
* Complete routine documentation after every session or significant communication with LIFE individuals.
* Make recommendations to meet the needs of individuals that are beyond the scope of the LIFE Coach (i.e., medication adjustments, therapy by licensed clinician, private tutor, house cleaner, etc.).
* Maintain sanitary conditions of workspaces and vehicles.
* Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and dependable transportation; must be able to pass DPPC, CORI and fingerprinting background checks through our governing agency DDS.
* Have current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid OR be willing to attend training through LIFE.
