Cash Application Specialist IntroWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of time management, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume transactional environment. This position is open to fully remote candidates and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana.Cash Application Specialist Job Details- Properly identify customer remittances and post payments to the correct account by invoice, quote, and/or order numbers.- Create balancing entries related to short payments and deductions on customer accounts per remittance advice.- Reconcile and balance cash deposits to posting reports daily.- Complete account adjustments in a timely manner.- Manage daily inflow and outflow of intercompany transfers.- Assist with creating an environment of continuous improvement and transformation.- Research cash-related posting requests related to customer overpayments, short payments, and deductions.- Post and record customer payments received from lockboxes/bank accounts including checks, ACHs, wires, and credit cards.- Maintain cash receipts records and files as required for audit requests.Cash Application Specialist Mandatory Skills- 3+ years of business-to-business cash application experience in a large corporate environment, preferably in manufacturing, service, construction, or distribution industries.- Experience operating within multiple programs, software, and ERPs daily.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.- Strong general knowledge of accounts receivable processes, with an expertise in cash application.- Ability to multitask in a high-volume transactional environment.- Proficient in 10-key data entry.- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUP formulas and pivot tables.- Ability to successfully operate in a teamwork-oriented, metric-based environment.Cash Application Specialist Desired Skills- Preferred: BS Degree.- Nice to Have: Project experience (unapplied or other type of projects).- Preferred: SAP and D365 Experience (some flexibility here).Cash Application Specialist Start Date1/13/25Cash Application Specialist Location11819 N.
