CASH MANAGEMENT SPECIALISTDEPARTMENT: Operations LOCATION: 288 Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414 REPORTS TO: Operations Officer SUPERVISES: No PAY RANGE: $19- $21/hr. FLSA: Non-Exempt The Cash Management Specialist reviews daily transaction activity for the Bank's correspondent banking accounts. The daily Cash Position review allows for the determination of funds needed to keep the accounts positively funded. Funds are moved between the accounts by the Cash Management Specialist accordingly. The position is also the primary liaison for the Bank in these relationships. Wire Transfer activity, processed primarily through the Federal Reserve Bank, is also a major part of the duties of this position, as well as Currency Ordering Services. The position serves as a primary or back-up for various other back office operational duties. Requirements EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of two years of financial institution experience - back-office operations experience preferred
- Knowledge of computer operation and the ability to utilize the Bank's software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Must show initiative, reliability and team orientated attitude
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily Cash Position review and transactional control between Bank owned accounts at other institutions, including the Federal Reserve Bank
- Primary processor of Wire Transfer activity, both incoming and outgoing, for customers and Bank owned accounts
- Coordination of currency ordering and returns between branches, the armored car company and the Federal Reserve Bank
- Process Foreign Checks as received
- Acquisition of Foreign Currency for customers on a request basis
- Review other G/L reconciliations - coordinate issues with supervisor
- Handle customer research requests including copies of checks, statements, regulatory documents, etc.
- Review customer Mobile Deposit Capture check deposits through Online Banking
- Prepare and/or conduct periodic review of various other reports
- Liaison support with various third-party vendors/processors of the Bank
- Develop detailed knowledge of the Bank's products, services and general information, as well as a basic understanding of operation in other departments of the Bank
- Maintain interpersonal customer service skills - written and oral
- Successfully complete training programs as necessary
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor
