(We have multiple positions available)About the Role:In this role, you'll provide excellent customer service and valuable information to our customers, assist with registrations, and handle payments for our exciting programs. If you enjoy connecting with people and being part of a vibrant community hub, this is the perfect opportunity for you!This position is onsite and offers an average of 16 hours per week, with a flexible and event-driven schedule that includes evenings, weekends, special events, and split shifts. It's a dynamic and fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As an overtime-eligible role, there's also the opportunity to earn extra for busier shifts.About the Team:The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is a legacy venue of the 1990 Seattle Goodwill Games and is one of the premier natatoriums in the nation with both diving and swimming complexes. The facility hosted the 2000 and 2012 Olympic Diving Trials, it is home to the PAC-12 Swimming and Diving Championships and will host the 2025 NCAA Swimming Championships.The Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center (WKCAC) maintains one of the most active competition schedules in the country. These all-day competitions include high profile televised national and international events that have a lasting impact on King County's image in the region and country.   • Provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers via telephone, in writing and/or in person and provide program specific information.
  • Collect admissions fees and register patrons for scheduled programs. Handle multiple-step transactions such as receiving and/or issuing receipts, forms, cash and documents.
  • Educate patrons of rules and policies of the King County Aquatic Center.
  • Respond to emergency situations; follow facility protocol for reporting damage, incidents or injuries.
  • Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons via telephone and/or in person.
  • Perform data entry.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, SkillsQualifications You Bring:
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to positively interact with a variety of people in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to effectively use computers and office software.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to use discretion, patience, proper etiquette, and professionalism to establish and maintain effective relationships, even in challenging situations.

Required Licenses:
  • American Red Cross certifications: First Aid and CPR/AED (Must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
It Would Be Great if You Also Bring:
  • Strong basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
  • Previous experience of handling cash or using a POS (Point of Sale) system
  • Demonstrated bility to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Possess and maintain current American Red Cross certifications: Community First Aid and CPR/FPR.
  • Knowledge of aquatic programs and safety procedures desired.
Supplemental InformationWorking Conditions:Work Location: Work Location: The primary onsite location is the King County Aquatic Center, 650 SW Campus Dr, Federal Way, WA 98023.Work Schedule: This position is anticipated work about 10-15 hours a week. This position is covered under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is overtime eligible.
