Job Standards
The City Treasurer's Office is seeking an individual to handle various receipting pertaining to traffic and accounting, process and record all information pertaining to disputes of parking tickets; gather evidence from all departments involved in the issuance of disputed tickets; and act as clerk for all parking hearings. Create and update computerized traffic ticket record and files; answer parking ticket inquiries via telephone and in person from the general public. Record payments received for outstanding parking tickets and assist with debt checks. This position requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a high school diploma or GED, with additional courses in office practices and bookkeeping, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference for employment in all positions with the city shall be given to applicants who are full-time city residents.
