Cashier - Mead Lumber : Job Details

As 100% employee-owned, we continue to grow and are in search of driven individuals who desire an opportunity to grow their careerThe primary responsibilities of the Cashier position are to provide excellent customer service, accurately and efficiently process transactions, and maintain a clean and organized workstation as well as support store management and team associates.Responsibilities & Duties

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Greet every customer you see in the store or walk within 10' of.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Count cash drawer at opening and close every day.
• Process customers quickly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Process cash, credit card, and charge transactions accurately following all company procedures.
• Attend training sessions to learn and keep current on products we sell.
• Assist with stocking of merchandise in the store.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer's needs.
• Learn proper procedures for orders, special orders, purchase orders, credit memos, and invoicing.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Can stand for an extended period of time.
• Proficient in using computers and calculator.
• Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Can react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
• Ability to form strong relationships with customers.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills
