Reports To : Nutrition Services Supervisor, Director FLSA Classification: PRN, Non-exempt, hourly $16.81- 20.00Essential Functions:
- Man the cash register: take orders, assist customers, write menus.
- Maintain the dining area, keeping tables and chairs clean and orderly, counters clean and free of clutter, and changing garbage cans when necessary.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer by counting before and after shift, and making accurate change.
- Keep designated areas well stocked on a daily basis.
- Assist with the assembly and transport of food carts to patient and resident areas.
- Wash dishes and operate dishwashing machine safely. Follow proper handling and washing procedures for kitchen tools and equipment.
- store food ingredients to meet regulations.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a hygienic and organized workspace and kitchen, which includes taking out the trash, sweeping/mopping the floors, and cleaning the kitchen and service areas.
- Perform a variety of tasks both independentlyand under supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous serving and/or food service experience preferred.
- Previous experience handling money and cashiering preferred.
