The Product Trainer is fully engaged across the educational journey of our customers and team members. Planet DDS Trainers deliver comprehensive education that helps ensure an optimal onboarding experience for our customers. Trainers are involved early in each customer's on-boarding, gaining a deep understanding of the customer's business operations and product needs in order to offer guidance on optimizing processes and solutions. Trainers are responsible for delivering and developing learning content including course materials, job aids, assessments, etc.
Responsibilities - Be highly proficient in Planet DDS products and their optimal use in dental and orthodontic practices.
- Provide business process and operations consulting leveraging Planet DDS products and best practices.
- Create and deliver engaging and interactive education through various channels including workshops, onsite in-person training, virtual training, webinars, computer-based learning, etc.
- Evaluate customer progress and performance during the onboarding period to identify areas of improvement.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of customer needs, training activities, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay up to date on product enhancements and industry trends to help ensure training materials are current and relevant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the onboarding training program, identify lessons learned, make recommendations and support identified changes.
Skills and Qualifications - 3-6 years of experience in a combination of dental practice operations and teaching/training roles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Customer-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional training experiences supporting student learning styles and preferences.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships across departments and with customers.
- Ability to travel to customer offices to educate and support multiple-day go-live activities that often includes weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills Preferred:
- Experience with instructional design principles and creating engaging training content.
- Proficiency in using virtual training platforms, e-learning tools, and learning management systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with adult learning theories and methodologies.
- Experience in the dental industry or with dental software solutions.
