- Develop and maintain workflows and develop skills in the ETL process (using Alteryx and SQL)
- Understand and explain related data quality issues and secondary characteristics effects on modeled results.
- Learn and run catastrophe modelling software AIR Touchstone and RMS RiskLink
- Provide complete, clear documentation on project scope, assumptions, data edits, analyses completed, and results provided to brokers and clients.
- Explore differences in catastrophe modelling outputs so to provide insights to brokers and clients.
- Provide analysis of changes and variances in the modeled exposure due to exposure changes and model changes.
- Maximize business impact internally and externally through effective communication with brokers, clients, prospects, and information systems.
- Conduct post event analysis, optimization and other specialty analyses as needed.
- Complete catastrophe modeling related sections of rating agency reporting forms for clients and prospects as needed.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in risk management, data science, mathematics, finance, economics or other related areas
- Strong work ethic that explores an array of solutions to solve problems
- Team focused with a willingness to help where needed and always looking to improve oneself and the team
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be detailed oriented
- Proven ability to work in team environment within analytics and across discipline
- Proven excellence in communicating
- A good understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide marker range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary advanced to the desired candidate will be based on a number of factors, including geographic location and the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the desired candidate.
