- Lead and direct a team of servers to ensure the efficient execution of catered events.
- Set up event spaces according to client specifications, including tables, buffets, and place settings.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery and presentation of food and beverages.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their guests, addressing any concerns or special requests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage and handling of equipment and supplies.
- Train and mentor new servers, providing guidance on service standards and best practices.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Attend pre-event BEO meetings to review event details and expectations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a catering or banquet environment, with a minimum of 1 year in a lead or supervisory role (preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating memorable experiences for clients and guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including wine and cocktail service.
- Familiarity with proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional training or certification in hospitality or food service (preferred)
Compensation: $22.50 per hour
