Crowler Catering is a catering company and division of HB Productions LLC. We provide full catering services for all types of events and private functions and specialize in mobile bar services with our converted ambulance, Thirst-Aid, as well as our restored 1973 Cushman Bar. Role Description
This is a full-time Catering Sales Manager role based in Louisville, KY, with flexibility for some remote work. The role involves overseeing catering sales and operations, managing client relationships, developing sales strategies, and coordinating events. Ideal candidate will have extensive experience in restaurant and catering operations as well as catering sales experience. This role will require participation in networking groups, outside sales meetings and prospecting exercises. Some weekend and evening work will be necessary, but this role is mainly executed M-F during normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate new catering business and expand existing accounts.
- Identify potential clients, pursue leads, and convert them into clients for events, meetings, and other occasions.
- Negotiate and close catering contracts, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and profitability targets.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster repeat business.
- Conduct client meetings, site tours, and presentations to showcase the venue and catering offerings.
- Understand client needs and preferences, offering customized catering packages and solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning, execution, and follow-up stages of events.
Event Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the kitchen and operations team to ensure the delivery of high-quality food and service for events.
- Oversee event timelines, ensuring all aspects of catering, logistics, and setup are executed smoothly.
- Work with clients to determine menu selections, beverage options, and event setup requirements.
- Monitor the execution of events to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
Marketing & Promotion:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote catering services, including social media, email marketing, and partnerships with event planners or corporate clients.
- Attend industry events and network to expand the client base and increase brand visibility.
Administrative & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all leads, sales, and client communications.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and follow-up documents for clients.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management on performance and pipeline activity.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the operations, culinary, and service teams to ensure a smooth flow of information and effective event execution.
- Train and support event staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of catering industry trends, food & beverage offerings, and event planning logistics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM programs (preferred).
- Serv-Safe Certified (preferred).
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid working location available with some in-office hours expected.
- Flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Local (Louisville and surrounding area) travel may be required for client meetings or industry events.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
