About Us: Dickie Brennan & Company was established in 1991 to continue the rich history of New Orleans cuisine through locally inspired and nationally recognized cuisine. Our restaurant group includes four restaurants located in New Orleans' picturesque French Quarter: Palace Caf, Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse, Bourbon House, and Tableau. In addition, we own and operate Acorn Caf, located in New Orleans' City Park adjacent to the Louisiana Children's Museum, as well as The Commissary Kitchen + Market in New Orleans' Garden District and the historic Pascal's Manale and Audubon Clubhouse both located in Uptown New Orleans. Job Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet each guest, making eye contact and presenting a genuine smile.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of featured menu items, passed HOD's.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Be aware of food allergens; communicate all food ingredient/allergy concerns to Catering Manager.
  • Maintain a strong professional presence, promptly arriving to work as scheduled.
  • Adhere to all required uniform standards.
  • Maintain proper set, organization, and cleanliness of all guests seating tables and buffet stations.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and other team members.
  • Display integrity and honesty in all aspects of employment.
  • Work efficiently and productively to complete required tasks within assigned time frame.
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory employee meetings/ training sessions.
  • Perform side work and closing duties independently and collaboratively with Catering Team to set for next business day.
  • Exceed guests' expectations with a positive attitude.
  • Other duties assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be L.R.V certified or commit to obtaining the Louisiana Responsible Vendor certification within 45 days of hire date.
  • Standing, walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds; push, pull or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant adequate range of motion and mobility required.
  • Manual dexterity is essential. Must possess finger dexterity to use culinary and bartending tools adeptly.
  • Able to converse, read and write in English with excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a strong professional presence, promptly arriving to work as scheduled, Adhering to all uniform standards.
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated, fast paced environment with a guests-service orientation.
  • Must be able to work varied hours/days, including evenings, weekends and holidays and accordance with Catering/Special Event scheduled. Work some long hour shifts between breaks or meals.
  • May be exposed to high, medium, or low noise intensity.
  • Exposure to fluctuations in temperature and various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must understand Catering on-call schedule and be available to work (at least) 18 - 24 hours per month - including two Saturdays per month - during the busy season months of March, April, May; October, November, December.
  • Demonstrate the ability to adhere and comply with all rules and regulations of the company.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in catering or food service is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Weekend availability, including holidays, is required
