Details Client NameOSF Saint Francis Medical Center Job TypeTravel OfferingAllied ProfessionRadiology SpecialtySpecial Procedures Tech Job ID29993146 Job TitleCath Lab/Special Procedures Tech - SFMC Weekly Pay$2920.0 Shift Details ShiftDay - 9x4 - 08AM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date01/13/2025 End Date04/14/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job DescriptionJob Title: Cath Lab/Special Procedures Tech Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 9-hour days Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Cath Lab Tech License: Licensed by the relevant state agency Certifications: ARRT certified, CPR certified Must-Have: IEMA Certified or willing to obtain Job Description:- Perform specialized radiologic procedures such as cine, digital subtraction angiography under sterile technique to aid physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.- Prepare examination area and position patients while explaining procedures to alleviate apprehensions and gain cooperation.- Operate complex radiology equipment like special X-ray tubes for biplane filming and digital subtraction devices, ensuring proper technical factors such as voltage, current, and exposure time are set.- Transfer patient images to the archival system, ensuring they are stored correctly and permanently in the patient's records.- Ensure all equipment is in proper working order by performing minor repairs or notifying appropriate personnel of malfunctioning equipment.- Monitor patients' cardiovascular and pulmonary systems during catheterization procedures, alerting physicians to changes and calculating hemodynamic data for interpretation.- Participate in departmental and center meetings as well as educational programs geared towards continuous quality improvement efforts that increase patient outcomes and satisfaction.- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with department personnel and outside agencies, assisting in room preparation between procedures.- Complete monthly on-call requirements including weekends, weekday after-hours, and holidays.- Successfully complete competency requirements for the special procedure technologist role.
