Description
V2X is seeking a reliable Tool & Parts Attendant to support the Advanced Helicopter Training System at NAS Whiting Field. This position involves the responsibility of managing, tracking, and issuing tools.
Basic Function Summary:
+ Be familiar with Naval Aviation Supply System as it applies to Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance.
+ Must have the ability to acquire working knowledge of all areas listed below under Essential Duties and Accountabilities to facilitate exceptional logistics support.
+ May be required to use hazardous materials in performance of assigned duties.
+ Must demonstrate sound mathematical computation ability.
+ Must have practical knowledge of a wide range of common and specialized aircraft tools.
+ Have the knowledge and manual dexterity required to make minor repairs to hand tools.
+ Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
+ Deliver tools, radios, and equipment requiring test, repair, or calibration to the applicable destination.
+ Maintain inventory and control of all property, tools, and test equipment on a daily basis.
+ Store, issue, and order materials.
+ Prepare, initiate, and reproduce all assigned reports as necessary.
+ Prepare tool/equipment repair/disposal and associated documentation.
+ Maintain government furnished individual material readiness list (IMRL) as directed by the IMRL coordinator, as well as other government equipment and furnishings, company owned equipment and furnishings, and employee-owned property inventory records and accountability.
+ Issue and return to stock all tools and special equipment.
+ Engrave, etch, tag, or mark tools and equipment as necessary.
+ Make minor repairs to tools as required.
+ Visually inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects and report damaged and worn-out equipment.
+ Maintain inventory and related contract accountability requirements.
+ Prepare parts and supplies documentation as required.
+ Make scheduled and unscheduled parts runs.
+ Pick-up and deliver documentation, reports, and related mail to the appropriate destination.
+ Perform allowance identification, reorder, update of computer records and storage of material in association with Phase Kit and related Pre-Expended Bin consumable material level adjustments as directed.
+ Correct Pre-Expended Bin labels, where required.
+ Receive and log repairable retrograde from work centers.
+ Perform required tool and related inventory functions.
+ Compile usage data for periodic excessing review.
+ Maintain cleanliness of the work center and assigned work area.
+ Search for lost or misplaced tools.
+ Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
+ Responsible for daily control of flight packet storage, issue, receipt, and inventory.
+ Responsible for weekly inventory and audit of flight packets and resolve flight packet inventory discrepancies in accordance with approved procedures.
+ Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
+ Document work accomplished on government and company electronic and/or manual information systems.
+ Assist in ensuring the safety, security, inventory, and preservation of government owned and company owned equipment.
+ Perform other related duties within job classification.
Qualification Standards:
+ Must have two (2) years documented hands-on specialized experience in tool room procedures.
+ Must meet any other qualification standard imposed by the government contract not covered by this agreement.
Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions:
+ The classification activity is usually accomplished in a shop like environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office activities.
+ May require lifting of objects whose weight normally would not exceed 50 pounds.
+ The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little to no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc.
+ May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
+ May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
+ May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
Licensing / Certification Requirements:
+ Hazardous Materials Certification
+ Forklift Operators License
+ GSE Licensing
+ Physical as required by NAVAIR 3710.1 series
+ Airfield Operations License
+ Valid State Operators License

+ The successful candidate's starting pay will be based on the current rate agreed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for this site.
+ The following salary range is intended to display the current per hour rate for this job.
