GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Provide quality support services to the Childcare Partners to improve the quality of services. Monitors and reports for the programmatic area of the Head Start / Early Head Start grants.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Head Start/Early Head Start support staff to monitor program quality and adherence to governmental and educational standards by use of the Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC/APPLE Criteria, Florida Department of Children and Families Regulations and Program Assessment Tools.Provide regular monitoring of staff files, child files, and substitute teacher files to ensure all time frames have been met.Classroom, playground, kitchen, and common space environments are monitored for compliance. All findings are documented in Child Plus.Monitor medication administration and other health and safety initiatives to ensure compliance with Head Start/Early Head Start Performance Standards and the Department of Children and Families' Childcare Regulations.Provide support for the recruitment of center-based staff and assist with the training of new teachers and assistant teachers.Assist with reports and maintaining accurate data in Child Plus.Monitor Program Information Report (PIR) for accuracy.Monitor Contract Compliance to ensure all HS Performance Standards and ECS policies are being followed.Ensure that CCP's are following educational services, guides curriculum, program planning and development of training.Conduct at a minimum of 3 in-person CCP meetingsSupport and encourage a working atmosphere that allows for creative thinking, positive attitudes, teamwork, and dedication of the mission of ECS.(These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other related marginal duties as required.)ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:This position reports to the Senior Director of Educational Operations.RequirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Health Administration, Social Work or related field and 1-3 yrs. related work experience preferred.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to build and maintain good human relations with staff.
- Working knowledge of program databases and related report writing software
- Ability to work with the public in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
- Ability to perform tasks with little direct supervision.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and emotional maturity.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products at an intermediate to advanced level
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles & practices
- Ability to track, monitor, synthesize and analyze data.

- Ability to plan and organize work as well as maintain records and prepare reports.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in fast-paced environment.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- Valid driver's license
- Complete 15 training hours each fiscal year (July-June)
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Works in an office and center-based setting.
- Local travel to multiple sites required.
- Minimal night, weekend, or out-of-town work possible
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
- Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction)
