West Village restaurant Libertine seeks a professional, hard-working and capable CDC to join and lead the team.
Libertine is a new French bistro opening in May of 2023 on an historic corner of the West Village. Serving updated riffs on traditional and forgotten regional French dishes alongside natural wine and producer-driven cocktails, Libertine aims to celebrate local Northeastern American agriculture through a distinctly Francophilic lens.
Overview: This role will oversee all culinary and back-of-house operations including but not limited to collaborating with the partners on menu development, maintaining and improving current menu offerings, staffing, scheduling, and staff training, running kitchen service, maintaining and controlling all food and labor costs, minimizing waste, and ensuring the highest possible standards quality-wise, performance-wise, and culturally.
The CDC must supervise all phases of receiving, storing, preparing, producing, service, and sanitation. This role is expected to maintain quality, product consistency, food and labor cost controls, and assist in managing sous chefs and line level employees.
