Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Apprentice Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery to work within 30 miles of the distribution warehouse in Frankfort, IN.Compensation The annual salary range is $85,000 per year which includes:
- Activity-based pay (miles, stops, case unload, etc.)
- Typically 1200-1600 miles per week
- $1,300 per week Guarantee
- Work 45-60 hours per week.

Work Schedule
- This is a 24/7 delivery operation; some routes include weekends and/or Holidays
- Days and start times will vary; work until work is completed, typically 10-14 hours per day
- Routes awarded by bidding board daily, based on seniority; typically takes 1-2 years to access most desirable routes
- Approximately 1-3 layovers per week; overnight stay in company paid hotel
- Make 5-10 stops per day; Routes cover KS, NE, IA, MO, OK
- Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs
- TRAINING: Two-week in-office paid orientation training. Followed with 10-12 weeks of on the job driving/delivery training.
Responsibilities
- Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart
- Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-users
- Drive CDL A day cabs with 53' trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
- Secure pallets using straps and/or bars. Load securement at every stop.
- Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
- Provide excellent customer service
- Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
- Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
Requirements
- Valid CDL A and/or CDL B license required, issued by state of residency.
- No CDL driving experience necessary. NEW GRADUATES ENCOURAGED TO APPLY!
- Prior route delivery experience highly preferred, including local, multiple-stop delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack
- Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
- Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
- Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
- Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
- Be able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds with no assistance
