Job Location : Kansas City,MO, USA
Job Objective: To lead the Celebrate Recovery ministry at the Kansas City Eastside Corps working closely with the Outreach Director and other recovery agencies. The position serves as the point of contact for all recovery initiatives at Eastside Corps including setting the schedule and content of all large and small group meetings and recovery step studies in the Corps and connecting individuals in recovery to community organizations and agencies.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in Substance Abuse Counseling or equivalent experience or volunteer experience working with individuals in recovery; prefer individuals who have attended Celebrate Recovery leadership training
Experience: One year of experience providing services and classes to individuals in recovery
Certifications/Licenses: Obtain Peer Ministry Certification within 90 days of employment.

Supervisory Responsibility: None
Physical Requirements: Employee must have the ability to sustain physical activity both inside and outside for extended periods of time. Work requires ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel and lift up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.

Driving: Driving is required; Employee must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence; must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business
Working Conditions: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors; may require irregular and/or extended hours on periodically
