Under general supervision and guidance, the Cemetery Technician performs various tasks requiring mainly manual skills and physical strength. Conducts burial operations to include preparing gravesites for use, handling caskets and urns for placement, closing gravesites, and finishing the area to provide a safe and pleasing appearance for the family and visitors. Accurately placing the remains and marking the gravesite as directed.. Operates outdoor power equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, edges, etc.), utility vehicles, hand and power tools, and other equipment needed for operations.. Heavy equipment, tractors, dump vehicles, trucks/vans/other vehicles, and other equipment (specialized, construction-type, etc.) may also be operated.. Install outer burial containers..
